WHAT ICCA SAYS ABOUT INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS AND CONVENTION

ICCA’s Research team identified over 10,500 meetings of which some 9,000 meetings were held in-person, being either unaffected by COVID-19 or held in a hybrid format. The report focuses primarily on actual meetings (in-person and hybrid) as this is the main driver of our industry when it comes to knowledge sharing, human interaction and economic impact.

The ICCA Country – and City – Rankings always generates huge industry interest. It’s heartening to see the drive towards in-person meetings is once more very strong and we predict this trend will grow throughout the coming year

OPINION

This ranking includes the number of international congress and conferences held in 326 cities. It is a fact that shows the capacity of cities to organize international events, their dynamism, their openness and their attraction. It is a variable that must be taken into account when preparing any ranking of cities.
